A TRIBUTE to Legendary Bass Player • RON CARTER • Saguaro • 1977

My tribute to one of THE BADDEST bass players to ever walk (and I mean WALK!) the planet earth... the number of equally legendary people he has played with and his contributions to the world of music are likely inestimable and beyond prolific... even if you've never heard of him... you've probably still heard him but just didn't realize it...

🔥THE MILES DAVIS and HERBIE HANCOCK QUINTETS • Eighty-One • 1965-1994🔥

The original version of this tune on the 1965 Miles Davis album E.S.P. is with the same personnel (minus Wallace Roney) ~ I have always loved that one ~ and when I first heard the other one when it came out in '94, I really flipped and still enjoy how exquisitely they had developed and reinterpreted it over so many years of playing at such an elite level of musicianship... very special right here... blessings to all...
