As an environmental activist who was deplatformed from a speaking venue by transactivists, in 2013 I developed curiosity about the power of this group to force this development. A year later, when Time magazine announced a transgender tipping point on its cover, I had already begun to examine the money behind the transgender project.

ONE EXTREME OR THE OTHER ON THE SAME ISSUE: While UGANDA follows many other African countries and makes the LGBTQ lifestyle a CRIME punishable by IMPRISONMENT or DEATH, the U.S. is following the EU and Canada by making it a CRIME to 'MISGENDER' someone and not call them by their 'PREFERRED PRONOUN'

         

🤔Some legit questions for the LGBTQ folks in 'the West'...❓

• If anti-LGBTQ views are as many have claimed to be -- exclusively a product of so-called 'Western', colonialist, white supremacist ideology -- then what is driving all these African countries with primarily black leadership to be FAR more intolerant and extreme than the West in their approach to your community? 

• In light of the extreme laws Uganda and many other countries in Africa and around the world have regarding your "identity" and with a mind to the "solidarity" you surely would claim to have with what these people are suffering under such laws -- how can you seriously keep believing that people in your societies - most of whom may simply disagree with your views, but certainly don't hate you nor want to see you harmed in any way - nevertheless somehow still need to be labeled as "violent" and must have their language legislated just for supposedly "misgendering" you by not using your "preferred pronouns" or submitting to other such comparatively petty and overly entitled demands? 

• Could it be possible that YOUR extreme behavior is feeding into -- and off of -- OTHER PEOPLE'S extreme behavior (such as the sort seen right now in Uganda) in regards to how different people think, feel and behave around this issue? In other words -- could you be OPPOSAMES? 

Just asking! Hope y'all give these questions some serious consideration...

When will there be a coronavirus vaccine?

More than 30 years ago, I was asked the same question about an AIDS vaccine. Being a realistic optimist, my answer was: I do not expect a vaccine earlier than five years from now. None of the many journalists who asked me that question ever quoted those five years. Far too pessimistic! Other scientists spoke about one or two years. They were cited in the newspapers (and I was no longer harassed by journalists).

Three decades later, we are still waiting for an AIDS vaccine effective enough to be licensed.

I learned a valuable lesson then. Today, when I get asked the same question about the novel coronavirus, I respond by repeating the question with a different emphasis: “When do WE (all) get the coronavirus vaccine?” And there are other important questions to be added: Will it be safe? Will it be reliably protective?”

Recent data from the North Carolina Board of Elections found thousands of Black residents have switched their political party to “unaffiliated.”

Overall, about 123,000 North Carolinians have registered as unaffiliated since 2016, reported ABC11. About 37,000 of those voters are Black. Unaffiliated voters, also known as independents, do not consider themselves members of a specific political party.

It's what people are being asked to tell each other. Less than 10 days ago, London banned people who live in different households from meeting each other indoors, to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

"Nobody wants to see more restrictions, but this is deemed to be necessary in order to protect Londoners' lives," London Mayor Sadiq Khan told the London Assembly.

Taking away the welcome mat is key to cutting off the path of the coronavirus. From the beginning of the pandemic, cities, states and countries have banned each other. And now, eight months into lockdowns that have led to immense stress and fatigue among people, some places around the world are introducing even more draconian measures.
